BEGIN WITH AN END IN MIND
Let’s talk about the very beginning. You know you need family portraits but what are you going to do with them? We begin with the end in mind, which means, before I pick up the camera, we have a plan for where and how these photos will hang in your home or the story we want to tell in your family album or film.
To start we have a pre- session consultation over the phone, we talk about why are you having portraits created? Is there a special milestone being created? After chatting with you and hearing a bit of your goals for the session, we schedule a in person or video conference consultation to plan your session. The consultation will answer all your questions from what to wear, to how images will be displayed, color design, location planning and look and feel of the session. We will discuss all of this and have a full understanding of the investment you’ll be making. Your session is carefully planned and fully designed. Tell me about your family, home and your vision and I will add in my creativity to make it happen.
My sessions are designed to be relaxed and fun, and my goal is to leave you feeling as stress and pampered as possible! I take all the time needed to document your family, as you wish. I love letting kids be kids, even if they are crazy kids! As a matter a fact, the crazier, the better! Their real personality (the one you love most) will come out. Don’t worry I have seen it all, I am very patient and have worked with all sort of children in the past 6 years.
The session takes place in my professionally designed, industrial style, cozy home studio in St. johns. I work with controlled studio lighting and simple props and set designs. The studio offers a stylish and relaxed environment where we create a look that is sophisticated no matter what the Florida weather is. For kid only studio styled sessions, I offer a one-of-a-kind hand painted image (I use all sort of art mediums to create something special). If you prefer to create your images outside, I am game. Depending on the style you choose I focus on creating a unique art for your home, true to your family.
THE ORDERING APPOINTMENT
Approximately Three to four weeks after your session, we will meet back at the studio for your ordering appointment. Using my state-of-the-art software and photos of the walls in your home, I will show your portraits scaled onto your walls, which solves the problem of what size to order; not too big, not too small, but just right! No worries, we will review all the handcrafted and archival portrait products. I will guide you every step of the way using your goals from the consultation to achieve your vision on what will look best with your decor.
Your order appointment is the time set aside to finalize your portrait order; all decision makers should plan to be present.
DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION
Receiving your printed pieces!!
I will make arrangements for you to take home the final result. And if you need help with installation, I offer a complimentary installation service. I will take the hassle out of hanging your new art.
Portraits make a house a home. Decorate your home with love. Once those portraits are hanging, you can sit back and enjoy them EVERY DAY. For these are your precious kids —the ones who are growing too fast and who you will cherish to the end of your days.
THE LONG-TERM PLAN.
I am thrilled that your portraits are hung with care, but I know the kids will keep growing and changing. This is not the end! so what about next year or the year after that?
My families often come to me year after year. As your children grow and change, it will be time to update your portraits. So right from the start we plan, knowing that more may come. And I design around that! The next time you work with me, I create art that coordinates with sessions past, so you can build on to what we’ve already created for you in a way that works and delights you year after year.
